Rewrite

I was not happy with the first draft of my novel. I’m in the process of rewriting it. This mostly involves inserting a new character to make the story more engaging.

I hope this project does not turn into my Mona Lisa. An unfinished work. I really would like to publish it sooner rather than later. Having said that, there’s no point rushing to publish something if it’s not to a reasonable standard. I suppose the question is, do you try to perfect your first book or publish, get feedback and use this to improve subsequent books?
